Today we released an update to the basket within the marketplace. This is a significant change to both the design and the functionality with an additional benefit of improving the performance. Following some great feedback from customers we have provided updates to streamline the basket process as well as provide more information and insight into what is going on behind the scenes and ultimately generating more savings and adding real value during the procurement process.

The key updates are:

1. Completely re-built the basket to improve performance and usability
2. Clearer user interface to provide better visibility of the automated savings our Dynamics Discounts function provides
3. Fly outs to see the savings you are making from both frameworks and Dynamics Discounts
4. Better use of icons and fly outs to help identify potential and actual savings
5. Simplified basket process making the checkout faster and more efficient
6. Improvements to the delivery address layout and selection process, especially for new delivery addresses

We have been working closely with Procurement professionals & identified that most end user requirements come via spread sheets or lists of products. To simplify the laborious task of finding & adding products to a basket we created Quick Quote

Users can quickly upload multiple items to a basket from Excel. Simply follow the steps above & our powerful feed engine quickly interrogates the data, finds the products & gives you the best price and current stock levels. The upload function also checks every line for errors which can be viewed within the “Show Details” section

Search Results Page

We have just released an optimised version of the search results page. We have improved the performance of the page as well as adding new functionality to allow you to update the quantity you need before you add the item to the basket. This will speed up the processing of multi-line orders significantly and improve the general procurement experience on the site.

Credit Card Payments

Functionality has been added to allow for users to pay for certain orders by credit card. The option to pay by credit card will be visible on the order information page if you have the relevant role. The process pushes the user out to our payment provider who processes the transaction securely before re-directing you back to the marketplace.

For security purposes this is role driven and can be added on request. If you wish to add this option to your role, please speak to your Account Manager or email marketplaceshared@probrand.co.uk

Invite New Users

In order to simplify the process of inviting colleagues to use the site we have added new functionality to the admin section. Below are the simple steps to follow Steps

1. Log in as a user with the Company Admin role
2. Click Administration from the Account menu
3. Select the View Users tile
4. Click Add User at the top of the page
5. This will open the flyout, simply complete the form and invite the user.
6. New user receives an email with a link to set a password so they can login

Management of Dynamic Discounts

Our Dynamic Discounting functionality, that connects you to the supply chain so you can maximise your discounts, has been updated to allow you to turn it on or off in your settings which will help you optimise your user experience.

Dynamic Discounting interrogates the content of the basket and searches all the channel discount rules to give you the best price; this takes time and may not be needed on every order, so we recommend switching the setting off unless you are placing higher value orders, hardware or large quantities of products. In order to optimise the performance of the smart basket Dynamic Discounting is defaulted to “OFF”. You can change this in the Pricing section of your Account Settings at any time.

Dynamic Discounting

The Probrand marketplace is continually evolving as it digitises the years of experience we have in the IT market and provides a self-serve user experience that brings you all of the benefits and less of the hassle. We have a team of CIPS accredited purchasing professionals continually engaging with the vendors identifying how to maximise discounts available in the channel and passing the savings directly to you.

Our Smart Basket has been further enhanced to connect you to the supply chain allowing you to maximise the discounts available in the IT channel. This takes the marketplace beyond tail end spend and commodity procurement and can help you secure discounts in excess of 50% in some cases for projects and bulk purchases. The Smart Basket has been updated to automatically identify discount opportunities based on specific products, quantities and value to offer you the option to get further discounts. Some options are instant whilst others take time as we engage on your behalf to get you the best price. You will see new messages and processes within the smart basket experience as soon as the discount rules are triggered.

• Configurable product tile view giving you the option of compact or full view of each tile

Delivery Options

Our Marketplace brings together over 40 approved IT Suppliers giving you access to over £1b worth of stock in our virtual warehouse. Our priority is to get your order to you as quickly as possible at the best possible price, this means that sometimes your order is split across multiple supply chain partners which can lead to you receiving multiple deliveries. A new consolidated delivery option is now available which brings all of your items into our warehouse and ships once the order is complete. This can take a little longer to reach you but at least you will only get a single consolidated delivery.
